Howe Caverns Image:
Howe
Caverns places high value on its local, national, and international
reputation and image. Howe Caverns dedicates significant
human and financial resources to ensure the achievement
of the high standards of tradition and wholesomeness which
we have established for ourselves. To preserve, protect,
and enhance our more than 70-year reputation as a premier,
wholesome, family-oriented natural attraction, Howe Caverns
will adhere to its core values and goals and present an
image which is traditional, attractive, and inviting to
the general public. The Howe Caverns image is represented
by (1) the physical appearance of our facilities and employees;
(2) the presentation of our invitation through advertising;
(3) delivery of the goods and services we provide to our
guests.
Working
with approximately 18 year-round employees, the Company
grows its staff to nearly 200 seasonally. Like many tourist
attractions, our busiest months are July and August. We
spend over 10 hours with new employees in an Orientation
program, which evolves into a year-round training program
for all staff to participate. Our strong commitment to service
extends to the partnership we forge with our employees.

Howe
Caverns Employment:
While most jobs at Howe Caverns are seasonal in nature (3 months or less), several jobs are considered as 'extended seasonal' and may last up to 6 or 9 months, depending on the department. Each spring, Howe Caverns, Inc. hosts its Job Fair to recruit seasonal staff. The date of the 2007 Job Fair will be Saturday, April 21 from 9am to 2pm. Jobs are available for adults looking for part time work or for young folks 'just starting out' We encourage you to attend the job fair, or stop and pick up an application or e-mail us at jobs@howecaverns.com for details if you are 16 years or older. Applications are also accepted year-round, in case there is an unanticipated need for additional staff. Many local students get their first taste of work at Howe Caverns during their high school days. Others stay throughout their college career and then move on, but the average length of full-time employment with the Howe Caverns family exceeds 8 years. Our most loyal employee has been with us more than 45 seasons.
