Eternal Spring

This is an excellent example of an active flowstone formation, and it also shows how the natural flowstone dam, which backs up the lake, was formed. This is named the Eternal Spring because it flows, without change in volume, regardless of surface moisture. At the current rate of flow, in several thousand years this formation could grow large enough to seal off the stream passage at this point.
