Titans Temple is the largest room in the caverns. It is 55 feet, 16.72 meters from the stream bed to the ceiling. The Chinese Pagoda is the largest stalagmite in the caverns. It is eleven feet tall, four feet in diameter, and represents 500 thousand years of calcite growth. The Chinese Pagoda was found in the stream bed, apparently knocked over by the falling rocks that formed the Rocky Mountains. The holes in the side wall of Titans Temple are called grottoes. Grottoes were formed when water at that level cut through a pocket of weaker limestone or a pocket of clay.
