Welcome to Howe Caverns... We are open every day 9AM to 5PM. GO UNDERGROUND... the temperature is always 52 degrees, the warmest place to be in New York this time of the year! Our guided tours take one hour and twenty minutes. After your tour try out our gemstone mining and geode cutting. Stop in our Sweet Shop for our homemade fudge, truffles and a cup of Starbucks coffee. Our Cafe is closed this time of year, however, we have snacks, hot dogs and nachos. We have quite a collection of souvenirs and gifts in our Gift Shop. Stay overnight at our motel.

Overlooking the picturesque Schoharie Valley, the beautifully renovated café is open daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day. After Labor Day through early May, the Café is open on a limited basis but is always available for student groups, tour groups, banquets, reunions, wedding receptions and holiday parties. PLEASE NOTE: Due to further renovations, we are not able to book any parties or banquets until after March 2010. We apologize for any inconvenience this may present. From breakfast through dinner, enjoy a wide selection of items – from French toast to Paninis, homemade soups and desserts, and much more.
