Earth Day Celebration

Welcome to Howe Caverns... We are open every day 9AM to 6PM.... GO UNDERGROUND... the temperature is always 52 degrees, the coolest place to be in New York this time of the year! Our guided tours take one hour and twenty minutes. After your tour try out our gemstone mining and geode cutting. Stop in our Sweet Shop for our homemade fudge, truffles and a cup of Starbucks coffee. Our Cafe is open with a fine selection of deli sandwichs, paninis, pizza, hot dogs, ice cream and much more. We have quite a collection of souvenirs and gifts in our Gift Shop. Stay overnight at our motel with an outdoor pool.

Earth Day Celebration

At Howe Caverns, we really get into the Earth! To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, we have a great day planned. Join us for our Special Kids Geology Tour at either 10:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. (reservations required by calling 518-296-8900).

There is a Special Wildlife Presentation by Professor Kevin Berner of SUNY Cobleskill at 1 p.m. where you’ll learn more about White-Nose Syndrome that is threatening the bat population. Mine for gemstones. Explore the Great Cave. Overnight packages available.
