Howe Caverns Job Fair April 10


HOWES CAVE, N.Y. -- For those looking for a great summer job, Howe Caverns will host its annual Job Fair on Saturday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Café dining room at 255 Discovery Drive.

Howe Caverns, Schoharie County’s landmark attraction, has full- and part-time positions available for the 2010 summer season. The Job Fair is open to everyone ages 16 and older.

“We have positions available for teens, adults, teachers and retirees. We encourage them to explore the employment opportunities at the Caverns,” said General Manager Robert Holt.

For those ages 16 and older, jobs include those of tour guide, photographer, parking lot/greeter, retail clerk, motel housekeeper and food preparation/cook.

People ages 18 and older may apply for jobs as gemstone/geode attendant, custodian, Café front counter, dishwasher, cook, motel/front desk clerk and ticket office clerk.
For those unable to attend the Job Fair, applications are being accepted by e-mail to  reception@howecaverns.com. Full job descriptions and applications may be downloaded at the website.

Howe Caverns is located between Albany and Cooperstown, off I-88 at Exit 22. Howe Caverns is open daily (except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day). Hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m .from April  through October. From November through March, the hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
