Welcome to Howe Caverns... We are open every day 9AM to 6PM.... GO UNDERGROUND... the temperature is always 52 degrees, the coolest place to be in New York this time of the year! Our guided tours take one hour and twenty minutes. After your tour try out our gemstone mining and geode cutting. Stop in our Sweet Shop for our homemade fudge, truffles and a cup of Starbucks coffee. Our Cafe is open with a fine selection of deli sandwichs, paninis, pizza, hot dogs, ice cream and much more. We have quite a collection of souvenirs and gifts in our Gift Shop. Stay overnight at our motel with an outdoor pool.

Embedded in the floor is a six-inch think piece of heart shaped calcite. Legend has it that if a person stands on the heart with their true love, they will be married within the year.
