Welcome to Howe Caverns... We are open every day 9AM to 6PM.... GO UNDERGROUND... the temperature is always 52 degrees, the coolest place to be in New York this time of the year! Our guided tours take one hour and twenty minutes. After your tour try out our gemstone mining and geode cutting. Stop in our Sweet Shop for our homemade fudge, truffles and a cup of Starbucks coffee. Our Cafe is open with a fine selection of deli sandwichs, paninis, pizza, hot dogs, ice cream and much more. We have quite a collection of souvenirs and gifts in our Gift Shop. Stay overnight at our motel with an outdoor pool.

Howe Caverns Mining Company has taken a crack at opening thousands of geodes for guests. But, a recent revelation in one of the geological formations rocked the crew. When they cut it open, inside was a crystal clear downward arrow -- a key element in the new Howe Caverns logo, with the invitation to “Go Underground.”

Weird coincidence? Gee, we wonder…or, is it one rocky ode to Howe?
