Howe Caverns' Hill Challenge Benefits Marathon for a Better Life

HOWES CAVE, N.Y. -- Howe Caverns is having its 3rd Annual Hill Challenge, starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, with proceeds benefitting Marathon For A Better Life.

The Hill Challenge is a two-mile fun run/walk and takes place rain or shine. It begins with a downhill run or walk along the scenic Howe Caverns’ driveway. When participants reach the bottom, the challenge is to go back up the hill in a show of support to those neighbors who are challenged with the battle against cancer.

Pre-registration fees (must be received by May 8) are:  $12 for individuals, $40 for a family of 4  and $10 for school groups with five or more members. On the day of the event, registration is from 7 to 8 a.m. and the fee is $15 per person. All participants will receive a voucher for one free traditional tour of Howe Caverns, valid through the weekend of May 9-10, 2009. The first 100 registered participants receive a free T-shirt.

Registration forms are available at the Howe Caverns’ website, www.howecaverns.com, or by calling 518-296-8900.
