Our guided tours take one hour and twenty minutes. After your tour try out our gemstone mining and geode cutting. Stop in our Sweet Shop for our homemade fudge, truffles and a cup of Starbucks coffee. Our Cafe is closed this time of year, however, we have snacks, hot dogs and nachos. We have quite a collection of souvenirs and gifts in our Gift Shop. Stay overnight at our motel.

Come face-to-face with natural history - 156 feet underground - and learn about pre-historic seas, sedimentation and a million years of erosion. Imagine the look on their faces when they step out of an elevator into a million year-old cavern, carved by a subterranean river that continues to sculpt the cave today. Teach them about the countless layers of sedimentary limestone, the floor of the ancient sea, all visible in the wall of the cave’s towering galleries. Boy Scouts can participate in our scavenger hunt to earn a Howe Caverns patch. Click here for more details . For as little as $7 per scout and a short ride away, your scout troop can experience this one-of-a-kind natural environment. Get your troops excited about geology, natural history and earth science in ways you never could in the classroom - with a trip to Howe Caverns. Scout Groups (15 or more scouts ) Reservations Required 2010 Scout Group Rates Scouts Grades K-12 (day after Labor Day—6/30) $7.56 Scouts Grades K-12 (7/1—Labor Day) $10.80 One adult* per 15 scouts FREE Each additional adult $10.80 * Counselor, chaperone Reservations are required for all groups. Above prices include tax. Tax exempt rates are available when a valid tax exempt certificate is presented at time of ticket purchase. One person should purchase all tickets for the group.
