Celebrate your wedding vows with your closest friends and family at the Bridal Altar in Howe Caverns.
Below-ground, our magnificent caverns and ancient formations make a unique but
striking back-drop for photos and/or the exchanging of vows. Above-ground,
warm hospitality and homespun atmosphere await you in our Tudor-style
Visitor Center, complete with stone fireplace.The view from our
dining room and surrounding patios will take your breath away, another
great location for photos of your special day. More than 550 weddings have been
performed in the cave; we’d love yours to be the next!
Scheduling
- Any
day of the year except Thanksgiving or Christmas Days
- Usually
any time between 9am and 6pm, except Memorial Day
weekend and the period from Fourth of July through Labor
Day when weddings may be scheduled between 9 and 10am
or after 6pm
Tour Rates
Exchange your wedding vows amidst the wondrous stalactites and stalagmites in our underground cave. The Bridal Altar awaits, complete with a glowing calcite heart, for the bride and groom to stand on during the ceremony. Before or after you exchange your vows, tour the caverns 156 feet below the earth along the River Styx and past the limestone formations to the underground boatride on the Lake of Venus. Just as you'll never forget your wedding day, "You Never Forget Howe!".
Pricing: There is a $100 deposit required prior to confirmed wedding reservations. Free cavern admission is extended to:

All other relatives and guests pay the Group Rate of: $12 per adult age 16 and older, $10 plus tax per Junior ages 12 - 15, $7 plus tax each child ages 5 - 11 with children ages 4 and younger FREE.. These charges are in addition to the required deposit.
Please note that wedding reservations are not considered scheduled until the $100 deposit is received and recorded in the Howe Caverns Business Office.
Cancellation Policy: $75.00 will be returned providing the reservation is cancelled 24 hours prior to the scheduled day - $25 will be retained by Howe Caverns as a cancellation fee.
IF NO CANCELLATION IS MADE, HOWE CAVERNS WILL RETAIN THE $100 DEPOSIT AS A NO SHOW FEE.
Marriage License & Officials
You must have a New York State marriage license dated at least
24 hours ahead of the ceremony. You
are also responsible for making arrangements for a Minister
or Justice of the Peace and arranging their fee. We would
be happy to provide you with the names of several people
who perform Weddings at Howe Caverns on a regular basis.
We also ask that you make arrangements for your own photographer,
and again we can give you some local recommendations.
Don't Feel Like Driving
The Howe Caverns Estate also includes a 21-unit, fully renovated, year-round
motel. We'd be delighted to work with your wedding party on special
room rates, depending on the size of the party and the season. When
you book our exclusive King/Jacuzzi room as the honeymoon suite
in conjunction with a wedding ceremony or reception, allow us to
provide the bride and groom with a complimentary welcome VIP basket,
as our way of saying congratulations and thank you for choosing
Howe Caverns.
