Meet 16-year-old Jack from the UK
The UK is home to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, The Royals, fish & chips, rugby, soccer, cricket, boxing, and golf. and way too many other things to name! Jack lives in a small village just outside Warminster, a vibrant town known for its mix of beautiful countryside and charming history. He says that the Longleat Safari Park is so close to where the lives that, at night, he can hear the lions, wolves and sea lions! He also told us about a place called Cheddar Gorge, located near the Village of Cheddar. If you’ve been following us, you know how our ears perked up with whisper of cheddar… just like our cheddar cave-aged cheese! The gorge is the site of the Cheddar show caves, where Britain’s oldest complete human skeleton, Cheddar Man, estimated to be 9,000 years old, was found in 1903! Jack said that there is a festival every year, where they roll a large wheel of cheddar down the hill and whoever gets to the bottom of the hill first, wins the cheddar! He boasted that it is quite the show! He just graduated and is off to college to study art at university, with a focus in photography (pun intended ) He believes that Photography will provide a lucrative career opportunity as the he will be able to put his skills to use on a digital platform. When we asked him if there was one thing that he had to tell the world he said, “Be yourself. Don’t ever change to fit the expectations of others.” Thank you for visiting!
