Meet Brianne & Val fromLong Island

Val is first generation Mexican American. He said, “My parents are very hardworking. When they came to this country, they had absolutely nothing. My Dad started working as a dishwasher at a local restaurant. He worked his way up from a busboy to a cook. With hard work, dedication, and patience, he was eventually promoted into management. Then, he eventually, bought the restaurant and became the owner! My father knew that he wanted better for his children than he had as a child. He worked for that with everything he had. I am proud of him and my family. All of that hard work broke generational poverty and trauma.” Brianne is from a big Irish family. Her parents are both retired NYC Police Officers. Her father worked during the September 11th World Trade Center attacks. She has her masters in therapy and her goal is to be more trauma focused so that she can help to support and provide resources to our United States veterans. The couple met on Bumble. They talked through the app for a little over a week. Then, during the World Series, she gave him her number and said, “Send me a text sometime.” At the time he couldn’t respond because he was out watching the game with family and friends. A couple of days later, he reached out to apologize to her for waiting. He asked her to have dinner with him at The Brixton in Babylon Village, New York. After dinner they went for a walk in Argyle Park. They walked and talked for hours. They both knew it was a good date. They said, “We immediately understood each other. We laughed and joked. We were comfortable and calm. It was a fun date.” Val’s said his favorite thing about her is, “She has good sarcasm. She’s sassy and she matches my energy well.” Brianne said her favorite thing about him is, “He is very loving, compassionate, thoughtful, and caring.” The one thing they want to tell the world is, “Keep pushing forward. Never give up. Stay in the present, be mindful, and always enjoy the moment.” Thank you for so much for visiting
