Meet Dakota from Vero Beach, Florida

At 16 years old, she’s an artist and loves horseback riding. She said, “I have been around horses my whole life. I started riding very young.” She has two younger sisters whom she adores. She is here in New York on holiday and her aunt brought her to explore the underworld today. She said, “My school is pretty amazing. They give us a lot of freedom so I’m not on spring break, I’m just taking a break to spend time with family. I’m currently taking AP courses at school to prepare for college in advance. After high school, I hope to attend law school. My goal is to become a Law Guardian. I want to help represent children so that their voices can be heard in our legal system. It’s something I am very passionate about.” When asked who inspires her, she said, “My parents are my biggest inspiration. When I grow up, I hope that I can live a life as beautiful as theirs. They are not only wonderful parents, but they also are an amazing example. They have a beautiful marriage and are incredibly happy together. They are best friends and they truly love and respect each other. Their love fills whatever space they are in. It’s both contagious and inspiring. When I watch them, I can see how strong their love is. When I grow up I won’t settle for a love that’s anything less than the example they have set for their children.” The one thing that Dakota wants to tell the world is, “If you can be anything in this life, be your authentic self. It allows us to be vulnerable and build strong, fulfilling relationships. When you honor your authenticity you hold the key to the kingdom of love.” You are wise beyond your years Dakota!
