Meet Elisa from, Connecticut, and Levi from Belgium
Meet Elisa from New Hartford, Connecticut, and Levi from Belgium These newlyweds just tied the knot this past Saturday! With their parents visiting from Belgium, the couple set out to do some New York sightseeing, and Elisa knew exactly where to take them! Howe Caverns! Howe holds a special place in Elisa’s heart. She visited often as a child with her dad. The last time she was here was when she was ten years old. One of her favorite memories was gemstone mining at the outdoor sluice. She proudly says she still has every rock today. Returning years later, Elisa found herself remembering the exact spots where she once took photos with her dad.
For Levi, the experience was all about discovering something new. The Schoharie Valley landscape felt somewhat familiar as Belgium has similar temperatures thanks to its coastal climate. Levi was amazed to learn that the cave stays a constant 52°F year-round and that the tour included a boat ride deep underground. He was especially drawn to the quiet, calmness of the cave.
Together, Elisa and Levi created new memories: standing at the bridal altar, stepping on the heart, and wishing for a second honeymoon (even though they haven’t taken their first yet!). Both agreed that Howe Caverns is a place everyone should experience at least once. Elisa, a lifelong rock lover, couldn’t choose just one favorite part.
At just 22 years old, Elisa and Levi are already proud of what they’ve accomplished, from their careers in motorcycle racing to their new marriage and the goals they’re actively pursuing. They met through racing, and Elisa remembers telling her mom after Levi asked her out during a race weekend that it simply felt right.
Outside of the racetrack, Elisa paints, illustrates books, and designs dresses, while Levi continues to focus on racing and is working toward earning his degree. They travel together across the country competing, all while planning for life beyond professional sports. Elisa recently completed her MBA in December, and both are thoughtfully building future careers beyond racing.
Their shared life lesson is simple but important: always be working toward something. Life moves quickly, and making a meaningful impact, even on just one person, truly matters. To them, success means building a family, having freedom, and pursuing goals without financial stress. For Elisa, it also means leaving a lasting mark in women’s sports.
If there’s one message they want to share with the world, it’s this: find someone you want to spend your life with. Love, they believe, is one of the most beautiful things we have to share. Thank you so much for visiting, Elisa and Levi!
