Meet Ellie, Knox, & Lexie from Alaska
Meet 5 yr. old Ellie, 3 yr. old Knox, and Lexie (Mom) from Alaska! Alaska, The Last Frontier, is famed for its untamed wilderness and stunning wildlife. It is a part of the country where the brave and the adventurous go to enjoy the wildness of it all. Alaska is also known for its view of the Northern Lights. Scientists predict that this will be the best year to see them. It is also home of the Midnight Sun (the natural phenomenon during the height of summer in which you can see the sun at the local time of midnight, which means it never gets dark) The Midnight Sun season runs from about April 22 to August 20. Jason, Lexie’s husband, is back home in Alaska, while Lexie and their children are on a three week summer vacation. Lexie & Jason were both born and raised in Upstate New York. It was Jason’s life dream to hunt and fish in Alaska. In 2009, they left behind everything they had ever known, friends and family, and forged their path into the unknown and making their new home in Alaska. They married in Hatchers Pass in 2011. Lexie said that the hardest part of this journey has been not having extended family nearby. She says that Jason is the glue that holds them all together. Jason is now licensed guide in Alaska. When Lexie was younger, she became a caregiver for a relative with terminal cancer. This later inspired her to become a registered nurse. When asked if they had one thing to tell the world, they said, “Go out and travel. Don’t stay still for too long. You can always come home. There’s a world of adventure out there waiting for you.” Thank you for visiting
