Meet Jade and Aidan

Meet Jade and Aidan. Jade grew up in Memphis, surrounded by lots of family and raised by a very loving father, someone she says had the biggest influence on her life growing up, and still does to this day. Aidan grew up in the Schodack area of New York and still lives there today. Now, he’s visiting Howe Caverns for the first time in over 10 years, this time with someone he’s hoping to create new memories with. For Jade, this is her first visit ever! Aidan mentioned that the boat ride felt way longer this time compared to his last visit. Jade, on the other hand, said all she could focus on was how chilly the cave was, especially since back home it’s probably in the high 80s.

In his free time, Aidan loves cars and snowboarding! Jade says she doesn’t have many hobbies, per se, but she loves music. Her taste is all over the place, with no single favorite genre.

Both of them work in a school. Aidan is a crisis worker, and Jade is a teacher. Jade shared that she has on and off days, some days make her love the job, and… well, some days are quite the opposite! A lot of her time is spent overseeing and watching the kids, making sure they’re doing the right things, and stepping in to help when they need support.

When asked what surprised them most about each other, Aidan said he was shocked by how compassionate Jade is. He didn’t expect the level of kindness she carries. Jade, in turn, was surprised by how caring and genuinely nice Aidan is.

Aidan wants the world to hear this: help people when you can. Everyone is going through something, even if you can’t see it, and a little help can make a world of difference. Jade’s message is just as powerful: love yourself.
