Meet Justine, Sadie, Sam & Dave from Scotland

While on holiday abroad, they have rented an RV and are traveling around, by what they believe to be, the best way to see the United States. Dave works in the petroleum industry and travels the world for work. Sam & Sadie attended International Baccalaureate school. This system is a great resource for families that have to travel internationally for work. Students take the standardized studies with them throughout their travels, instead of having to change schools constantly. The IB program gives them the ability to, not only excel in an educational experience, but also in providing real world experiences. They attend classes with a diverse array of students from all over the world. Sam recently graduated and moved on to York University to study chemistry, with a focus on sustainable energy. Sadie will follow behind him in a couple of years to study biology. Justine, their mother, is a speech pathologist. We learned about Scotland and its amazing smoked fish on the east coast. We also learned that “glamping” in wigwams is very popular in Scotland Scottish is steeped in rich folklore of the treacherous tales of its North Sea. On the west coast, the prevailing strong south westerly winds create a strong surfing community.

The Isle of Tiree, Islay, and the area around the Kintyre peninsula are among the best places to surf in Scotland. Although Dave assured us it’s not for the faint of heart as the water is cold!

Dave has traveled to over 100 countries is loaded with adventure suggestions for almost any country. He would be a great travel agent! This family truly subscribes to Jack Hanna’s belief that “The world is the true classroom. The most rewarding and important type of learning is through experience, seeing something with our own eyes.” Thank you so much for visiting
