Meet Marc and Erica from New Hampshire
Marc was born in Somerset, Massachusetts. He has both a younger brother and sister making him the eldest son. Erica was born in Hawaii and has one younger brother. Marc’s parents were married for 45 years before his father passed away in 2015. Marc said, “My favorite thing about my father was that even though he said “no” to things, he was very reasonable and decisive. His “no” always came with an explanation as to why. He was a good man.” Erica‘s father was a naval submarine engineer. Her family traveled to wherever her father’s work took them. After Hawaii, they moved to South Carolina and from there, they moved to their forever home in New Hampshire. She said, “When I was a child, my father and I used to work on cars together. Those are some of my favorite memories. Today I joke that if my job as a hairdresser doesn’t work out I’ve got another career that I can fall back on.” Marc graduated with his biology degree from Stonehill College in Massachusetts. He currently works as a lab manager for Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The couple met four years ago. Their first date was to the Tap House Grille in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Erica is painfully shy and Mark was already aware of this before the date. He said, “I knew it was a good date because Erica opened up and we had a wonderful conversation throughout dinner.” Erica said, “I felt incredibly comfortable and safe with Mark.” They both agreed that the second date was truly where it all began. Marc said, “I took Erica for a ride to go pick up some signs that I had ordered at local general store. Then we had lunch at a restaurant on the lake. After lunch, we went for a walk near where my family would vacation when I was a child. As we were standing on the dock, overlooking the lake, I kissed her for the first time.” The couple has been married for three years. They have both been married before, and they consider their relationship a second chance. Erica said, “My favorite thing about Mark is that he keeps me smiling.” Marc said, “She allows me to be myself. She loves me in ways that no one has ever shown me before.” The one thing they want to tell the world is, “When you find someone who loves you exactly as you already are, hold onto them. Protect them with everything you’ve got. Love like that is rare and should not be taken for granted.” Before they left Marc, showed Betsy a leather key chain that Erica had made for him. On it are the geographical coordinates of where their love began. Thank you so much for visiting
