Meet Marc & Petra from the Netherlands!

The Netherlands are a Northwestern European Country that is known for its flat landscape, canals, stunning tulip fields, windmills and cycling routes. It is also know for its great Dutch Master artists such as: Vermeer, Frans Hals, Rembrandt van Rijn, and Van Gogh, just to name a few. Here’s another fun fact about the Netherlands: Dutch farmers bred carrots to be orange in the 17th century to honor the Orange-Nassau dynasty!

Both Marc & Petra work for the Dutch government. Petra assists in finding jobs for people who are be disabled. Petra said, “I always look for possibilities for the disabled because it is important that everyone works” Marc is a business consultant for the Dutch police. In Holland, employees are given 7 weeks off for vacation. This adventurous couple makes it a point to travel the world during that time. They have been to 54 countries and on this current adventure they have been to 19 states in the U.S. When we asked them if they had one thing to tell the world, they said, “Live and let live!” Safe travels and thank you for visiting, Petra & Marc!
