Meet Miriam, Marwa, and Sumaya from Iraq
All three of these beautiful women were born in Iraq.
As young children, their families fled their homeland. They bravely shared heartbreaking stories of their families being targeted and slain in the streets of Iraq by gangs. Samaya grew up in Egypt. Miriam and Marwa grew up in London. Betsy loved their lovely English accents. Marwa & Miriam first met when they were 10 years old while attending Arabic school in London. As they grew up, they went their separate ways. As adults they unknowingly worked at the same company! Randomly one day, Marwa looked at Miriam and said “Your face looks familiar.” The doors of their past started opening and the memories began to flood them. Today they are the best of friends. Marwa and Samaya are sister-in-laws. Samaya does not have any sisters. She says that having a sister-in-law finally fills a space in her heart that only a sister could. The one thing they want to tell the world is, “World peace. That is what we wish for. We come from a war-torn country. The people of our country have suffered and are continuing to suffer from war. We genuinely want world peace.” Thank you so much for visiting and sharing your stories with us “When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace”
