Meet Ruth, Gionna & Fernando

Meet Ruth, Gionna & Fernando…or as you may know him as, H.B. MONTE: DJ, music producer, songwriter and entertainer AND 2023 (Season 18) contestant on America’s Got Talent! At the young age of 12, he required a back surgery that left him with a piece of metal in his spine, and forced him to relearn how to walk. At age 13, he launched a professional music career with a CD player and turntable that he got for Christmas and by age 16, H.B. began performing at events and 21 + clubs. He continued to pursue music as he grew older and interned at Def Jam / Universal Records and later toured with Mobb Deep / G-Unit and collaborated on tracks with artists such as Pitbull, T-Pain & many more. In 2021, he was struggling with breathing difficulties and went to see his doctor thinking it was COVID. His doctor discovered that he was suffering with severe heart failure but doctors could not pinpoint the cause. He spent 3 weeks in the ICU. Since recovering, he says that he feels as if he has been given a second chance. It is now his life goal to make a difference. He wants to leave a legacy that will leave the world better than the way he found it. When asked him if he could give us one piece of advice, he said, “Live by the second, every one of them is a blessing. Never take it for granted!” We wish you continued good health and thank you so much for visiting!
