Meet Surekha Joshi from India
India, the tiger capital of the world, is home to the Taj Mahal, the largest producer of spices in the world, and is home to some of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world dating back 1200 BCE. Another interesting fact about India is that cows hold an exalted sacred status within the country. They represent divine and natural beneficence, and are seen as generous, docile creatures that give more to humans than they take from them. Cows are often allowed to roam free, even in traffic-choked streets. They are worshipped and decorated during festivals and holy times. Surekha Joshi was widowed at young age and raised her three children alone. One of her daughters lives here in the United States, her other daughter lives in Australia, and her son lives in India. She traveled here to the United States for a visit with family. You could see how very proud of her they were when we chose her for today’s inspiring humanity post. When we asked her, if there was one thing, she could tell the world, her granddaughter translated to us that Surekha Joshi said, “No matter what condition you’re in do not be afraid and always be loving. No matter what the conditions are remain loving to everyone at all times.” HOWE beautiful! Thank you for visiting!
“To love without condition, to talk without intention, to give without reason, care without expectation, that’s the spirit of true love.” -Hindu Quote from Lord Krishna teachings
