Meet the Bouchard family from New Hampshire

Meghan was born and raised in New Hampshire and Nick was born and raised in Massachusetts. Nick and Meghan met on the dating app Match almost 20 years ago. Nick was in finance and had an incredibly demanding schedule. Meghan was in her last year of college and was sick of the dating scene. Their first date was a phone date in which they ended up talking for three hours. After a while, Nick said, “We can talk on the phone for another three hours or I can take you out to dinner.” They went to dinner and a movie. Four months later, they decided to move in together and nine months later, they were engaged. Nick proposed at Disney World in Cinderella’s Castle. He worked for months with the engagement planner. Prior to the couples entry into Cinderella’s castle, actors and photographers were staged as diners throughout the restaurant. Once the couple arrived for dinner, Nick secretly handed the ring over to the planner. When it was time for dessert, the waiter approached the table with a covered tray. As he lifted the cover of the tray it revealed Cinderella slipper and Meghan’s engagement ring nestled perfectly into the slipper. The photographers that had been pretending to dine became the paparazzi. Meghan said, “We were engaged before cell phones were utilized as cameras. Those photos are the only photos we have of our engagement and we will be forever grateful for them.” Nick said, “Some people say the honeymoon phase is over. The reason people say that is because they’re recognizing the ending of something. We get along very well and the honeymoon phase for us has never ended.” Meghan’s favorite thing about Nick is that he’s always there to support her. “We have open, honest and transparent communication which is vital when comes to supporting each other.” Nick‘s favorite thing about Meghan is, “She is the magic maker in the family. She’s the scheduler, the planner, the one who helps us all when we don’t feel well. She is the steam that keeps the ship moving.” Their two lovely boys, Hunter (10) and Carter (5), say that their favorite thing about their parents is that they’re super awesome and full of love. The one thing the family wants to tell the world is, “It’s always darkest before the dawn. Darkness cannot drive out darkness only light can do that. Always look for the good people.” Just like Walt Disney said, “A dream is a wish your heart makes and dreams really do come true.” Thank you so much for visiting!
