Meet Titia & Huib from Amsterdam, Netherlands

Meet Titia (Mom) & Huib (Son) from Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands Did you know that Amsterdam is built on top of 11 million poles?! Amsterdam is in fact a city built on clay, with poles having been put in place to stop buildings from sinking. It also has more canals than Venice. It is the museum capital of the world and home to The Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and the Rembrandt House Museum. Its is also home to the only floating flower market in the world, the Bloemenmarkt! Titia has not been to the United States in over 45 years. They are currently here visiting friends. When we asked them what they wanted to say to the world, they said, “Be honest. Be kind. Instead of reacting with hurt and anger, heal your wounds and be accepting of others. No matter what one’s race, creed, or beliefs may be, we are all beautifully unique and that is what makes this world so amazing!” Thank you for visiting!
