Meet Alexandra from Colombia

The Gateway to South America, this country has one of the most unique landscapes in the world and happens to be the second leading biodiverse country in the world. It boasts stunning Caribbean Beaches in the North, exotic Amazon Rainforest in the East and the Andes Mountains in the South. It is renowned worldwide for its rich natural resources. Colombia proudly stands as one of the top growers in the world for coffee. It is also the world’s leading source of emeralds. The Colombian culture is largely influenced by 16th century Spain. It also reflects the intermixing of Spanish, Indian and African traditions. This fusion is seen in their crafts, folklore, music, and sculpture. Salsa is the rhythm of this country and it’s said that you can find people dancing at all hours of the day! Alexandra is here visiting family. We noticed her sweatshirt and she proudly told us that her son made it for her. When we asked Alexandra if there was one thing that she wanted tell the world, she said, “Have compassion for other people and be willing to help.” Thank you for visiting!
