Meet Ana & Cristina from Spain
Ana is from Madrid and Cristina is from Barcelona. Ana says her favorite thing about Spain is the food! Cristina says that her favorite thing is Catalan culture and its people. Spain is famous for its delicious paella and tapas, wine, and iconic landmarks such as the Basílica de la Sagrada Família and the Alhambra. It is also known for flamenco dancing, bullfighting, and its beautiful beaches. Ana & Cristina met when they were just 4 and 3 years old, while spending the summer at a beach house in Sotogrande. They were very close friends growing up, but Ana was always admittedly mean to Cristina so they ultimately went their separate ways. They stopped talking for years, never expecting to be a part of each other’s lives again. They are now 15 and 16 years old and they did not plan coming together to the United States. As fate would have it, they found out while boarding the plane in Spain, to come to the United States as exchange students, that they were assigned to the same exact group for the next 30 days! They had a choice to make on the plane. They sat next to each other on their transatlantic flight, talked, and let bygones be bygones. Now they are the best of friends all over again!
When we asked them if they had one thing to tell the world, they said, “Time puts everything in its place and you are exactly where you belong.” ¡Que maravilloso! Thank you so much for visiting
