Meet Corey, Doug & Thomas from Pensacola, Florida

They just moved to upstate New York 3 months ago. Corey is originally from Alabama. She went to college in Northern Mississippi and become a therapist. While spending her summers in Pensacola, she met Doug. He was just two months out of the army. Doug is originally from upstate New York and is an electrical engineer. They have been married for six years. Their adorable son, Thomas, is 5 years old. Today was his first day of school ever and their visit Howe Caverns was his afterschool treat. Corey shared with us how blessed they are to be able to experience this special moment with their son. He is and will be their only child. The couple struggled with infertility and pregnancy. Corey told us that she and Thomas almost did not survive childbirth. It has been a long healing process for Corey and she still has surgeries to this day. The one thing they want to tell the world is, “Be open to new experiences. Every experience is an opportunity for learning.” We hope this is an awesome school year, for you as parents, and for Thomas, as a new student!
