Meet Dave, Shelley & Kirstie

Dave is a total “girl dad” and we love that! His love and adoration of his daughters is very apparent. Dave, a proud American, served our country until he retired from the U.S. Air Force. His daughters, Shelley & Kristie, are fraternal twins and best friends. They were born in the Netherlands and grew up living all over Europe. When they were little, their parents said that they had their very own language and could understand each other when no one else could. The girls said that this deep connection and understanding has continued on into their adulthood. They joked that they are telepathically connected. When Dave retired, he decided that he wanted to return to the United States to live. The girls support that by visiting often. When the pandemic hit, their visits came to a halt. The family said for the past few years they kept in touch through technology. This is their first time seeing their father since the pandemic hit! When we asked them, if they had one thing to say, they said, “Live in the present moment and appreciate the little things. Life is too short to fight.
