Meet Gabriela, Deborah & Isabella from Brazil
This is a first visit to the U.S. for these beautiful sisters. They are currently on a two week vacation visiting family & friends. While they are here, they plan on visiting Times Square in Manhattan, Niagara Falls, and Boston. They taught Betsy about a special holiday in Brazil that specifically celebrates children. It’s similar to that of Mother’s Day or Father’s Day here in the United States. It is called Our Lady of Aparecida’s Day (Nossa Senhora Aparecida) and it is celebrated on October 12th. Gabriela, who is the eldest of the three, is a ballet instructor and is currently pursuing a college degree in psychology. She joked that the hardest job she has in life is keeping her two younger sisters alive. The adventures they share and the memories they have created are something the three of them collectively cherish. Gabriela is the leader and protector, Isabella is the worry wart but also is the one that is able to lighten life with laughter, and Deborah is the free spirit that holds them all together like glue. They are inseparable; all different in their own unique ways but bonded by an inseparable sisterhood. When I asked them what they could tell the world they said, “Jesus loves you. There is a place for you. You have a purpose. All you have to do is believe.” We say, “Amen” to that. Thank you so very much for visiting and making us a part of your memories!
