Meet Helle (mother) Jesper (father) Lucas and Rasmus (sons) from Denmark!

Denmark is a northern European country made up of the Jutland Peninsula and more than 400 islands in the North Sea. The terrain is mostly flat and no part of the country is more than 32 miles from the sea! Denmark has a long rolling sand-dune filled coastline with many lagoons, gulfs, and inlets. Its Scandinavian culture was primarily influenced by the Vikings. The capital of Denmark, Copenhagen has more bicycles than people! Denmark was also the home to Hans Christian Anderson, the famous author who stitched fairytale stories into our hearts forever. The family is here visiting friends. Helle & Jasper did not have much family growing up. The family that they did have, they felt, wasn’t healthy to stay close with. Today they have a vast “family” community. They say that their friends, whom they are closest to, are who they call family. They many of them through kung fu. Each of them practices the art. They like to call their community their Kung Fu Panda Family! They have even competed and won awards at the World Championships. When we asked what they wanted to tell the world, they said, “No matter where you have come from it does not define where you are going or who you are going to be. There are people out there that will love you just the way you are. Find your people and never let them go!” YES!
