Meet the very cool Kless family from Yorkshire, NY

If you didn’t know, the cars in this photo are incredibly rare! The orange car is the elusive Mangusta. There were only 401 Mangusta, in total, produced by hand, between 1967 – 1972 by De Tomaso. The word “mangusta” is Italian for “mongoose”; an animal that can kill cobras. It is rumored that the car was named in retaliation for a failed deal between De Tomaso and Carroll Shelby. Everyone in this family owns their own restored vehicle. It is a familial pact that each family member must buy an older car, restore it, utilize it and NEVER sell it. Matt, the father, grew up in a shop and his dad made him do the same thing. When he was young, his dad said you’ll never forget your first car and you’ll always regret selling it. No matter the circumstances, no matter how hard life may get, they are never allowed to sell their first car! They hold fast to this family tradition and have built a life around it. This is a true gear-head Family They own two gas stations and a collision and repair shop.
