Meet Jeanie from South Korea

South Korea has captured the hearts millions worldwide with its charm of ancient palaces, tempting flavors of Korean barbecue, peaceful Buddhist temples, and dynamic K-pop. Today is Jeanie’s 23rd birthday!

She has been here for the past two months visiting her boyfriend, Nate. They met last year while she was an exchange student at SUNY Oswego. Jeanie is double majoring in psychology and English education. Nate is majoring in electrical engineering. He had planned to go to South Korea to spend the summer with Jeanie. However, plans changed when Nate received an internship at a nuclear energy plant. They said that while being in a long distance relationship has its challenges, it’s definitely worth it. Nate already has plans to go to South Korea to spend the Holidays with Jeanie and her family. They both love adventure and so far, this is their best adventure yet! When we asked what they wanted to tell the world, they said, “Love each other. There are a lot of people are out there spreading hate.
