Meet Karen from Fort Lauderdale, Florida

She’s a serial entrepreneur and loves to travel. She was born in Chicago and raised by immigrant parents from Italy. She says that working a structured 9 to 5 job is suffocating. She needs her time and freedom to travel, build her businesses, and enjoy life. She’s a proud mother of four and has raised her children as a single mom. She has three girls and one boy, and each of them share her same entrepreneurial spirit and own their own successful businesses. The reason she is on this life mission of freedom through entrepreneurship she is because when her Nona lived in Italy, she would walk every day from the poor section of their village to the wealthy section and clean the homes or do the odd jobs that the wealthy didn’t want to do. Her Nona always had a dream of being able to come to America and start her own business. That dream never became a reality. When Karen went through her divorce, she found herself doing the same exact thing as her Nona, going to the wealthy peoples houses and seeking work. She realized that it was enough to sustain, but not enough to pull her into a financially healthy and sustainable life. Her Nona came to mind during this time. She decided that this was her destiny to break the glass ceiling. We all have a purpose. We just have to figure out what it is. She is currently writing a book and hosts her own podcast.
