Meet Kim & Grayson, mother/son duo from Florida

Meet Kim and Grayson, mother/son duo from Florida who are currently soaking in every pitch, play, and priceless memory at the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournaments this 2025 season. As the summer games ramp up, Dreams Park is welcoming around 104 teams per week and a projected 17,000 people over the course of the season! For families like Kim’s, this is about much more than baseball—it’s about tradition, connection, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Kim, originally from Missouri, is the proud mom of two boys. Her husband, John, a lifelong baseball player who once suited up for the University of Central Florida, passed down his passion for the game to their sons. While John is currently in Atlanta supporting their older son Braden at another tournament, the family is set to reunite in Cooperstown this week to cheer on Grayson, the youngest, as he takes the field with the same teammates he’s played alongside since he was just seven years old. “When you join a travel team like ours,” Kim says, “the families don’t just become friends—they become extended family.” That deep bond stretches beyond the diamond. The group has shared spring breaks in Europe, ski trips out West, and now, the iconic summer pilgrimage to Cooperstown—John’s dream destination ever since he picked up a glove as a kid. For him, stepping onto the grounds of Dreams Park is more than a check on the bucket list; it’s a reminder of how sport unites generations. Just down the road, families will escape the summer heat here at Howe Caverns, with a constant 52°F underground adventure—perfect after a week of action-packed games. No visit to Cooperstown is complete without stepping into the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, the ultimate shrine to America’s pastime. From Babe Ruth to Jackie Robinson to Mariano Rivera, the legends enshrined there remind everyone what’s possible with heart, hustle, and a love for the game. This July, the Hall of Fame Induction Weekend is expected to bring 28,000 visitors to the area—many of whom, like Kim’s family, are making lifelong memories while exploring everything the Schoharie Valley has to offer. Asked what message her family would want to share with the world, Kim smiles and says, “Take the game seriously—but never yourself. That’s how you win on and off the field.” In Cooperstown, where dreams are born and memories are made, that’s exactly the kind of legacy they’re building—one swing, one smile, and one unforgettable summer at a time! Thank you so much for visiting!
