Meet Michael from the Catskills
He lives in the town where the legend of Rip Van Winkle originated. Fifteen years ago, his father was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor. The doctors believed that they would be able to remove it without issue. Unfortunately, that was not the case and sadly, after his surgery, his father was paralyzed. Michael became a caregiver to his father and at that moment, his love for nursing was born and currently, he is in nursing school. He truly believes that nursing is about more than just the patient. He wants to be able to make a positive impact, as a whole, within the lives of patients and their families. He has received a full scholarship for college and has already accepted a two-year job offer upon completing his license. The one thing he wants to tell the world is, “Trust your intuition. Try your very best at whatever you were do. Life can be a rocky road, learn to enjoy the ride.” ALSO! Today is Michael’s 22nd Birthday and our beautiful Marilyn had the tour sing him “Happy Birthday” at the Cathedral Pipe Organ. Happy Birthday, Michael!
May all of your wishes come true!
