Meet Patricia and Maurice from Munich, Germany
Munich is world famous for its amazing food and is Oktoberfest!
Patricia and Maurice are equally amazing! They met seven years ago when they were in college. They both have Masters degrees in Economics and both are supervisors for the German Central Bank, a government run entity. Patricia was recently awarded an internship at the U.S. Central Bank in Washington DC. She believes that it’s very important to understand global economics, not just those within one’s own country. Maurice has spent the last eight weeks in D.C. with her. They talked about gender roles within the economic industry. They said that within private banking entities, females are not often seen in leadership roles. However, within governental entities such as the German central bank and the U.S. Central Bank, men & women hold equal leadership roles. They visited Howe Caverns today. Their next stop will be Niagara Falls, then back to New York City to catch a flight home to Germany. When we asked them what one thing they wanted to tell the world, they said. “Explore as much of the world as possible. Be open to everything!” Safe travels, Patricia & Maurice! (“Über den Wolken” ) Thank you for visiting!
