Meet Pretzel from Jersey City, New Jersey
Pretzel’s owners came for a cave tour on a day that was very slow so our staff happily volunteered to babysit this handsome fella. He is a miniature schnauzer and the sweetest boy! He is also wicked smart! He can sit, give his paw, play fetch, and give a high five. We discovered that he also loves chasing toy snowballs, hiding under desks, and playing chase. He also enjoys a nice walks on our hill overlooking the Helderberg Plateau. Pretzel is not a bad worker! He sat perfectly in our laps and helped us answer phones and emails. His mom said that he tends to be very strong-willed (“super stubborn”) Believe it or not, she said that he is better behaved for strangers than he is his for her. His Mom says his favorite thing to do is steal her socks and chew them. She also said that he’s a man’s man. He loves to hang out with the boys. Back home in the city, he seems to think that he is something special because he’s always trying to chase down the neighbors’ dogs. He’s got big personality for being so small. His birthday is this month and he is turning two which in dog years puts him right on par for being that rowdy teenage boy that his personality perfectly depicts. He’s a world traveler and goes everywhere with his family. The takeaway from his visit today is that we can all learn a thing or two from dogs. Dogs live in the moment, they greet the world with enthusiasm, they sniff out opportunities, they don’t know judgment, gratitude is abound with them and little things. They forgive quickly and love unconditionally. For Pretzel’s time and bringing joy to the cave; he graciously accepted his compensation in the form of our Wagatha’s Biscuits! Thank you for visiting!
