Meet Anthony and Catalina from New York

Both are of Puerto Rican descent. Catalina has a wealth of experience from living in many different places. She is a software engineer and has lived in Colorado, New York City, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and many other places. Her parents separated when she was sixteen. She was living with her mother in the Bronx at that time, and her living arrangements went from stable to unstable almost overnight. She and her mother moved from place to place for years. When she turned 18, Catalina longed for stability. She moved in with her father and found that it provided her with what she needed to start growing emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. She was always fascinated with technology and coding; a career path that she ultimately pursued. Anthony’s life was nearly opposite of Catalina’s. He was born and raised in the Bronx. He only moved once in his youth. He laughed because it was, literally, only a move two houses over. He said, “To think that people can spend their whole lives not settled, and constantly on the move, blows my mind. I couldn’t imagine living like that.” He said the only downside to being born and raised in the Bronx was the tendency to take it for granted. New York City is chock full of culture and diversity. Growing up, he could simply walk down the street and get ethnic food from any culture that he felt like that day. Anthony also said, “People spend their whole lives dreaming of living in New York City and all I’ve done is dream about getting out and living in nature.” As a child, he, his siblings, and his cousins would spend summers at their uncle’s place in Middletown, New York, just outside NYC. All through the school year, he would long to get back there. Today the couple owns their own place just outside New York City. Anthony works as an electrician in the city so he still gets the best of both worlds. The couple has been together six for years and are looking to eventually purchase a home more submerged in nature at some point. Catalina has a very high energy personality and keeps the adventure alive in the relationship. Anthony is very mellow and is the rock in every storm. Catalina & Anthony are a yin and yang couple; almost complete opposites but yet, they balance each other perfectly. The one thing they want to tell the world is, “Be the change you wish to see in the world. Don’t be afraid to lean on others and allow them to lean on you.” Thank you for visiting
