Meet Ron & Priscilla from Cobleskill, NY

Ron was a Sergeant in the 5th Army, located in Forcella, Oklahoma as a communications operator for the Pershing Missile System. His grandfather died in World War I, having been the victim of mustard gas. His father served in World War II and was wounded in battle. After graduating from high school, Ron worked three jobs for five years to put himself through college debt free. Two weeks after graduation, he was drafted. He is a patriot and was ready to do whatever his country had drafted him to do. At the time, he was married and had a son. Later in life, his son also served in the United States military as a Marine. Ron also has another son that has served in the Air Force for 30 years. Ron said that during his own time in the service, he was looking forward to being able to serve his country on German soil. That never happened as he never had the opportunity to deploy to Germany before his service ended. Later in life, he did eventually travel to Germany for leisure. Ron believes that everyone, male and female, should have military experience. He says it develops a great strong character. Priscilla, Ron’s wife, is a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She is also a member of the Mayflower Society. Her father served in WWII. This family is generations of rich military lineage. Thank you, Ron & Priscilla, and your families for your service to our country.
