Meet, Trista, Sophia, Michael, and Jim from Malone, NY
Jim is the third generation of his family here in the U.S. His grandfather immigrated from Sicily. One of his favorite things about being from an Italian family is the food! He says that, primarily in his family, the women are the magic makers in the kitchen. Every week they all look forward to what they call “Italian Gravy” or Sunday Dinner. While his family carries on this tradition, passed down from his elders, he hopes that one day his own childrens’ families will also carry on the same tradition. Trista is a professional ice cream cake maker. The children say that birthdays are awesome because every birthday, their mom brings home an ice cream cake! Michael just turned 16 and he recently started working and driving. He loves the cakes so much that he decided to work with his mom. He is currently enrolled in an electrical trade school and has one more year before graduation. Once he graduates, his goal is to build a career in wind power. Sophia loves sports. Soccer is her favorite. She’s also an avid rock hunter with an amazing rock collection. She was so excited for her cave tour today! The family says that they love adventure and they are always looking for new places to explore. The one thing they want to tell the world is, “Life is short and time together is sweet. You must make the most of it while you are here!” Thank you so much for visiting!
