Meet Simon and Wolfgang from Switzerland

They have been best friends since they were five years old! Wolfgang has been traveling the world nonstop since February and has visited seven countries! To pursue this once-in-a-lifetime dream, he had to work very hard, for a long time, to save money. He also had to leave his job but thankfully, he has been offered a job upon his return home. He told Betsy that a great deal of his travel plans have been spontaneous. One of the great surprises during this trip was his best friend, Simon, joining up with him in July. He was inspired by Wolfgang’s journey and last minute, they decided to spend Wolfgang’s last three weeks traveling together. They both work for medical technology companies as engineers. They said their careers as engineers require them to be curious. Wolfgang said that he enjoys and prefers learning about life through hands-on experience. He said that while seeing other countries and cultures in media was wonderful, it didn’t feel like enough for him, He was driven to experience it all in person. The United States has taken quite some for him to explore. It’s a huge country in comparison to others. His favorite part, so far, has been all of his visits to our national parks. He has been to Yellowstone, Yosemite, Acadia, the Grand Teton. A fun fact about Simon is that he is currently becoming certified in cave diving!
