Meet the Alazri family from Abu Dhabi, UAE

Choosing which guest to interview each day is never an easy task. Today, Betsy was immediately drawn to the Alazri family’s great energy, and she knew she had to meet them! When she asked them where they were from, they jokingly said a little bit of everywhere. Aisha (Mom) & Saeed (Dad) met in Dubai when they were young adults (16 & 20) and they have been together ever since! Soulmates! This couple complements each other beautifully and perfectly and has proven, throughout their years of marriage, that they can endure. Aisha absolutely loves travel and worked for Etihad Airways. Saeed is the exact opposite. When they met, Saeed told Aisha he would never leave Dubai and that she would never get him on a plane. That being said, their honeymoon was in the Maldives. He said he had to go because it was, after all, their honeymoon! The family says that once they took that first flight together they haven’t just stopped! They have traveled and lived many different places all over the world. Many years and three beautiful children later, their jobs took their marriage to a whole new level. Aisha’s work kept her in Abu Dhabi and Saeed’s brought him to New York City. The couple co-parented their children through an international long distance relationship! Each child took turns living with each parent and Aisha & Saeed also took time for themselves as a couple to nurture their relationship. They have lived that way for the past five years. This year was the year that they finally all moved to one home here in the United States! Congratulations!
