Meet Stephen and Jalyssa from Connecticut

They are currently on break from school. They met a year ago in high school while attending a class together. Stephen graduated last spring and is in his first semester of nursing school. Jalyssa hopes to do the same upon her graduation this spring. When Stephen met her in class last year he noticed that she is very kind and soft spoken. He loves that she is always smiling. Jalyssa noticed immediately that Stephen is incredibly respectful and he always pays attention to the small details. On their first date they went ice skating. Stephen is a hockey player and Jalyssa had never skated before. As every new skater does, she had trouble finding her footing and they both ended up falling to the ice. They have been together for seven months. Jalyssa is a dancer and Stephen tries to make it home from college for every recital she has. The couple talked with Betsy for a while about how they are at such a beautiful time in their lives as young adults. They are embracing opportunities to explore the world, discovering who they are as individuals, and as a couple. They spoke about how our youth comes from a very protected society these days, rightly so. They went on to elaborate that it is also important for our youth to be able to feel their own soul and explore what makes them happy. We must let our young birds leave the nest; to learn how to fly, to make their way on their own journey. The one thing they want to tell the world is, “Dreams don’t have limits. Don’t wait for storms to pass. Learn how to dance in the rain.” Thank you for visiting
