Meet the Guerrero & Morales family from the Philippines

The Philippines is considered the pearl of the pearl of the Orient. Located in the Pacific Ocean near the equator, the Republic of the Philippines consists of around 7,640 islands, about 2,000 of which are inhabited. Its specialities consist of scenic mountains, enchanting beaches, exotic wildlife, majestic volcanoes, friendly people, rich culture, deep rooted traditions & delicious cuisine. This proud family came to Howe Caverns for a family reunion. They were excited to let us know that the family consists of a cancer survivor who was in attendance today, as well as, 8 seniors! They are also celebrating multiple wedding anniversaries this month. Apparently, August wedding are favored in this family! Philip, one of their family members (you can see the lanyard around his neck to identify) is autistic. They said that the cave was a remarkable experience for all of them but especially Philip. The cave is a serene environment with dim lighting and the soft echoing of the River Styx added a soothing backdrop. It provided a perfect environment for Philip to enjoy an outing with his family. This family is all about celebrating life and family. For them, “Family is Love!” They said, “Spend as much time as you can nurturing those bonds.” Thank you so much for visiting and making memories with us!
