Meet Sabrina from Thailand
When Sabrina was twelve, her parents went through a very difficult divorce. Sabrina had to move to California to live with her Mom’s sister. Moving to the United States was incredibly challenging and especially difficult, not only because of the cultural shock, but because she was not living with her parents. She eventually graduated from high school and the pursued a career in allied health at a community college in Fresno. While in college, she met her wonderful husband, Ryan. When she met Ryan, she loved having the opportunity to see how different families are culturally. She noticed that her husband’s family is very laid back and that they expressed emotion openly and freely, which was a primary difference from her family. In Thailand, showing emotion can be seen as “being rude”. Ryan’s family is from Upstate New York and because Thailand has so many caves, they thought that Sabrina would enjoy visiting Howe. She definitely did. This past week, Sabrina saw her father for the first time in 20 years! It was a great step toward healing. Sabrina opened up to Kaily and told her that although she suffered through some very tough times, she wanted others to know that you can always make it through. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Everything you want is worth fighting for. What she’s learned from moving here is that you should never “let people dictate your life.” You need to “Love yourself and know that just because you have one bad day, it doesn’t mean you have a bad life. God always has your back” HOWE INSPIRATIONAL. Soon, Sabrina & Ryan are planning to move to Virginia Beach. We wish them the best & everything happiest Thank you so much for visiting
