Meet Abi from Massachusetts
She spent the majority of her childhood growing up in RVs traveling around the country. She’s been to 49 states and 34 countries. She was homeschooled and graduated from high school at 15 years old. She went onto to get her associates degree in human services and then her bachelors degree in psychology. She’s currently working on her Masters of Social work. She said, “I knew I was the one in my family that was going to stop the generational trauma and toxic cycles. My life goal is to help families heal from prolonged exposure to toxic environments and give them exposure to the tools that will help them to raise their children better than they were raised. I’m also very passionate about mental health awareness. I recently hosted an event for the American Suicide Prevention Association and raised five thousand dollars for the cause. As a child I struggled with my mental health. At 14, I was suicidal. As an adult, I am relentless about supporting those who are struggling with their mental health due to toxic environments and prolonged trauma. I want to do my part to help people heal. I recently worked with a foundation that advocated for a bill to be passed for student loan forgiveness for mental health professionals that come from rural areas. I feel that rural areas lack accessibility to mental health resources and professionals. I am an alchemist and I want to teach others how to become one as well. An alchemist is someone who turns negative energy and situations into positive energy and outcomes.” Not only has she healed her soul by helping others, but Abi has also written a book and she avidly writes music. Those outlets are both very cathartic and were essential to her healing. The one thing she wants to tell the world is, “You are greater than your highs and your lows. Always remember no matter what your situation is, you are loved, you are valued, and you are worth it!” Abi, what an inspiration you are. Thank you for visiting, sharing your story and helping others.
