Meet Ella, Delaney & Cas, from Hartwick College

Ella, Delaney & Cas All three of these cuties are Hartwick College ceramics majors. Ella is planning on being an art teacher with her degree. Delaney is second majoring in art history and museum studies. She is hoping one day to work at a museum. Cas is fascinated with ceramic engineering. Cas taught Betsy about how plants and fungus are symbiotic with the rocks. The relationship between the two helps the plants to derive the minerals from the rock. If you have ever see our cave you know that we have plants near the white lights and they primarily live near our Lake of Venus. The students are here to study the geology and its relationship to the creation and chemistry of clay. Today they taught Betsy that the word for plants that grow on rocks is “epilithic.” The one thing they want to tell the world is, “Get outside and play! The world is full of magic, wonder, and creation. It’s just waiting for you to discover & explore it.” Thank you so very much for visiting and for teaching Betsy too!

We are wishing you the very best in your futures. We have faith that you will do just fine!
