Meet Frank and Pia from Albany, NY
They came to the cave on a father-daughter day out. The rest of Pia’s siblings were with her mother on a different adventure. Frank has been married to his beautiful bride, Andrea, for 22 years. They have four children together. Pia is the youngest. The parents take turns having one-on-one time with each child. This gives them the opportunity to have individual time and allows them to explore things that they are interested in. Pia loves rocks and has a fantastic rock collection at home. She also loves arts, crafts, and singing. She loves singing so much that she performs publicly at talent shows. Being the youngest in her family, they like to joke that she’s also the loudest. Frank is the school superintendent of his children’s school district. His parents were not high school graduates. Because of this, he was inspired to give back. He said, “My original plan was to be a school teacher but then I just kept my education going.” This family also happen to outdoor enthusiasts! It’s their family tradition to go camping when school is not in session and those memories are some of their favorite. They used to camp in tents but have upgraded to an RV. They also make it a point to have family dinners at the table as often as possible. During their time around the dinner table they have what they call, “Family Dinner Questions.” They ask each other questions and each person has the opportunity answer. This allows them to engage in conversation and to learn about each other. They said, “We realize we are in this together. We try not focus on the negative very much. Life is just too short for that.” The one thing they want to tell the world is, “This too shall pass. Be kind and be caring to others and do your best not to swear in public.” Keep on singing, Pia!
You’re a star!
Thank you both for visiting!
