Meet Hemanth, Jeenu, and Surya from India
Jeenu grew up in a military family and was constantly moving. Her life was never predictable. By the time she was an adult, she had lived in 26 of the 28 states in India. She said that because she was constantly moving, she became very adept to adapting and overcoming. She matured early and learned how to make new friends at a young age. Today, Jeenu has friends all over India. Constant adaptation taught her the valuable life skills of empathy and connection. As an adult, she is passionate about traveling. This which eventually lead her to the United States where she was quickly humbled. Indian culture is incredibly communal and family-centric. It is common to be constantly surrounded by family and friends. Jeenu noticed that living in the United States can feel very isolating. culture. Her first four years living in the United States were the hardest and her loneliest ever in her life. She met Hemanth & Surya at work. Oddly enough, they came from each of the two states that she had never visited back home in India! She became fascinated with learning all about them, the culture that they grew up in, which in turn created an inseparable bond. When Jeenu bought her house a year ago, she made sure that there was enough space for all three of them. While she has always been on the move her whole life, she says that now she is grateful to have roots. She’s grateful to have friends, that she considers family, to come home to. The one thing that they want to tell the world is, “Relationships, just like people, are similar to plants. We need light, love and nurturing. Friendships are not an opportunity. They are great responsibility. They must be cared for.” This trio visited to celebrate Hemanth’s birthday! Thank you for visiting & celebrating with us!
